J.T. Glenn was born in Jacksonville, Texas, on July 21, 1946, to Harrison Glenn and Annie Nora Session Glenn. A 1964 graduate of Frederick Douglas High School in Jacksonville, J.T. furthered his education at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Thompson Chapel CME Church.
On January 21, 1969, he united in Holy Matrimony with Linda Joyce Lee. To this union, two children were born: a daughter, LaJoyce Mirriell and a son, LeeTrae Donnielle Glenn.
J.T. was preceded in death by his father, Harrison; mother, Annie Nora; brother, J.W.; three sisters, Annie Mae, Berna Dean, and Wilma Jean. He leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife of 43 years, Linda; daughter, LaJoyce; and son, Lee Trae (RoShaonda) - all of Dallas, Texas; three grandsons, Devin, Darrian, and Daelon; one great-granddaughter, Angela Janae; and one great-grandson, LaDarrion; father-in-law, Roy Lee (Faye) - of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Judy Lee Eikner of Dallas, Texas and Paula Lee Jackson (Larry) of DeSoto, Texas; brother-in-law, Ronnie Johnson (Linda) of Houston, Texas; one aunt, Ola Mae Nutson of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
