J.W. was born on January 23, 1933 and passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012.
J.W. was a resident of Lubbock, Texas at the time of his passing.
He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1950 and then attended Draughon's Business College.
He was a Sergeant in the Adjutant General Corps of the U.S. Army from 53-55 where he served as a Court Reporter and Section Chief of the 30th Infantry Regiment Legal Section.
He is survived by his wife Alene.
A Celebration will be at 2pm, Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church on Hwy. 1585 and Memphis in Lubbock with Pastor Bob Field officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home in Bowie, Texas at 11am, Thursday in Salona Cemetery. There will be a family visitation at Brownfield Funeral Home on Monday from 5-7pm.
