Jack Duncan MacKinnon

JACK D. MACKINNON October 7, 1929 ~ August 26, 2011 The pillar of our family, Jack D. MacKinnon, transitioned from his earthly body to his new home in Heaven on August 26th. He was born in Cascade Locks, OR, on Oct. 7, 1929, to W. Otis and Gertrude MacKinnon, the 8th of 9 children. He was born in the home built by his father and lived there until he married his childhood sweetheart, Donna Anderson, on Aug. 29th, 1948. Following their wedding, Jack held jobs in the labor field until he was hired by Clark County PUD in 1951. He retired after 30 years of faithful service. Jack was surrounded by family and friends during his valiant fight against Multiple Myeloma. The family would like to thank the hospital staff at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to our husband and father. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Teresa Ann (Carl), Carol Lee (Kenny), Jack Michael (Debbie), Rebecca Lynn (Randy), Jill Renee (Bryan); brother, Roger Dean (Bonnie); 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless people who loved him like family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Mon., Sept. 5th at 1:00 p.m. at Salmon Creek Methodist Church at 12217 NE Highway 99, Vancouver, WA.
