Connie, you and your family are in my prayers. I know how much it hurts to lose someone you love. I'm so glad that you and Jackie made it to mom and dad's anniversary party in January. It meant so much to her. Your in my prayers.

You couldnt have many conversations with Jack without talking Sooner football. He was a fan good or bad and loved to watch them whenever they played. I remember one time we were in Colorado on a hunting trip and had to drive in a snowstorm 45 miles to get to a place that had a satelite so he could watch the OU Texas game. You couldnt be around Jack without the discussion getting back to fishing. He had a love for and a gift of fishing of all types but particularly bass fishing. He was a fierce competitor when competing in tournaments and you always knew he was one of the guys you were going to have to watch out for. He loved to win but would also take the time to share his knowledge with others. I fished my very first bass tournament with Jack on lake Ouchita in 1976 and had the privledge of spending a number of days afterwards competing with him and just "going fishing". Most import, the one thing that you always knew was that Jack loved his family. His devotion to Connie, Ryan and Scotty was always visible to everyone. He was proud of all of their accomplishments and never was afraid to show his love to them around others. Jack's brothers and sister were always a huge part of his life and it was great to see him enjoy brother Bill, Tommy, Jerry and sister Diana and all of their family. My fondest memories were formed around our families sharing time around a picnic table at lake Eufaula, having a fish fry, playing horseshoes and just relaxing. My sincere condolences go to all the family and friends for the great loss we all have suffered. My comfort, like yours, should be around the promise that Jack is in a better place and that we all see him again some day. Our responsibility as friends and family is to always remember Jack for who he was to us so that he will never be forgotten.
