Jack Johnston May 22, 1960 - August 15, 2011 Jack Johnston of Coppell, Texas, passed away Monday, August 15, 2011, at Harris Methodist Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco with the Rev. Sharlande Sledge officiating. Visitation will be 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 17, at Lake Shore Baptist Church. After burial services in Waco, the family will hold a celebration of Jack's life at 3:00 p.m., at Triestsch Methodist Church in Flower Mound, Texas. Jack was born May 22, 1960, in Waco to P.M. and Barbara Johnston. He was a 1979 graduate of Richfield High School and was owner and CEO of Pet Safe Diagnostics in Coppell. Jack was an active member of Creekwood Christian Church in Flower Mound, as well as a loving father and devoted husband of 29 years. He was preceded in death by his father, P. M. Johnston; and his brother, Jeff Johnston. He is survived by his wife, Tammie Johnston; daughter, Jamie Johnston; son, Justin Johnston; as well as mother, Barbara Johnston; and brother, Jerry Johnston. Other family members include mother and father-in-law, James and Elizabeth Bryant; as well as two sisters-in-law, Veniece Kolkhorst and husband, Kenny, and Deniece Kelley and husband, Jeff. He is also survived and loved by his nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Creekwood Christian Church, 2660 Forest Vista Drive, Flower Mound, TX 75028.
