Somerville Jack R. Spear 81, died November 17, 2010. Jack was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania and resided in Somerville since 1954. He was employed at Johns Manville for over 30 years retiring in 1984. After his retirement he was employed as a security guard at ATT until 1999. Jack was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St John's Episcopal Church, the American Legion Post 12 and the JM Quarter Century Club. Jack enjoyed watching Nascar Racing on TV and collecting model trains. He will be sadly missed by all. He is predeceased by his wife Agnes who died in 2002 and a sister Audrey in 2006. Surviving are her daughter Charlotte Bradley and her husband Robert Funeral Services will be 10am Saturday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave., Somerville. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm Friday at the funeral home. Donations can be made to the Steeplechase Cancer Center, 30 Rehill Ave Somerville, NJ 08876.
