Jack Snipes

Six Mile – Harold J. "Jack" Snipes, 77, husband of Nellie Kelly Snipes of Six Mile, passed from this life Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Jack was born in Easley a son of the late Hoke Snipes and the late Beulah Howard. He was a retired commercial paint contractor and was a member of Gap Hill Baptist Church in Six Mile. Jack was a U. S. Army veteran.

Surviving in addition to his wife Nell, are two daughters Melinda K. Miller of Jupiter, FL and Jean K. Mullinax (Jimmy) of Six Mile, and a sister Carol Baker (Roy) of Easley. Also surviving are brothers, Harry Snipes, Charles Snipes, Ronald Snipes, and Wayne Snipes all of Easley, grandchildren include Jackson C. Mullinax, Jacob A. Mullinax, and James K. Mullinax and great grandchildren Andrew J. Mullinax, Taylor Mullinax, Tyler Mullinax, Conner Mullinax and Easton Mullinax.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Simmons.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:30 PM Thursday in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with Dr. Boyce Whitman and Reverend Ken Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Veteran's Garden of Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30PM Thursday at the funeral home.
