Jack Stalo, 81 of Cottonwood, passed away on September 27, 2011. He was born on August 29, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilfred and Hilma Stalo. Jack attended school for most his life. He joined the Air Force during the Korean War and earned all kinds of medals and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. He owned Sedona Automotive from 1970 to 1983. He was part of Search and Rescue, Elks and Civil Air Patrol. He also owned a plane and loved to fly. Jack was a member of Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. He enjoyed working on cars, planes, motor bikes and loved to learn. He was an all around handy man that could and would do everything. This man was fabulous and one of a kind. Jack is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris C. Stalo; sons Kirk D. Stalo of Cornville and Steve S. Stalo (Gwen) of Cornville; daughter Debbie F. Adams (Kevin) of Cottonwood; brothers James Stalo (Cathi) of Las Vegas, NV and Clyde Stalo of Cottonwood; sister Pauline Trebon of Dana Point, CA; two grandchildren, Jesse Stalo (Meredith) and Thomas Stalo and 1 great-granddaughter, Genesis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11:00am at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 101 S. Main St. Suite D in Cottonwood. Any contributions in Jack’s name may be made to Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church Building Fund, 101 S. Main St. Suite D, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
