Jack Yee Fong, 84, of Stockton, passed away on August 22, 2011, in Sacramento, California. He was born on June 12, 1927, in Stockton, California, to King Chuck Fong and Chin Lai Fong.
Jack enlisted in the United States Navy in 1945 and served as a Seaman First Class SV-6 USNR. After an honorable discharged from the Navy, he went on to graduate from Stockton College in 1949. Jack lived in Stockton for most of his life. He spent 52 years working as a Certified Electrician. He enjoyed cars, traveling, eating out, spending time with his friends and family, and playing mah-jong whenever he could.
Jack is survived by his children; Glenn Fong, Alvin Fong, Robyn Fong, and Jaclyn Gaines. He was blessed by eight grandchildren; Kevin Fong, Tami Candiani, Mikayla Fong, Camden Fong, Ethan Fong, Asher Fong, Nathan Gaines, Matthew Gaines and two great grandchildren Zachary and Alexis Candiani. He is also survived by his siblings; Elaine Low, Esther Watanabe, Jeannie Lee, and Leo Fong. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Lily Lee and May Lee.
We will miss his easy going personality, happy spirit, generosity, and his smile. He is loved and will never be forgotten.
Final arrangements were made with the DeYoung Funeral Chapel.
