Jackie Franklin Ballard, 63, of Sheridan, Arkansas died August 30, 2011. Born January 20, 1948 in Benton, Arkansas, he was the son of Charles Edward and Flora May Ballard. He was an independent owner/operator trucker for over 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Ginger Ballard; daughter, Jennifer Ballard; son, Shannon Ballard (Linda); step-son, Matt Callihan (Charlene); sisters, Velma Stacy, Alta Cavin and Wanda Egelhoff (Don); numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and family friend and caregiver, Phillip Taylor.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Bewley Cemetery at Atkins, Arkansas with Rev. Larry Ballard, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. this evening (Thursday) at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th St., Little Rock (501) 661-9111.
