Jamell Short, 86, of Conway passed away on August 28th, 2011 in Rogers. She was born on April 9, 1925 to the late Hyram and Pauline Loftin in Beebe, Arkansas. Jamell's life was making her home a haven for her family and was a wonderful cook. She treasured the time she spent as a wife, mother, Memaw, sister and friend. She loved her family dearly.
Jamell was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, William Robert Short and a brother Wayne Loftin. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Sandy (John) Thorpe of Little Rock and Robin (Stan) Allison of Bella Vista; her sister Willa Dean (Dean) Hill of Silsbee, Texas; her brothers Ron (Fran) Loftin of Little Rock and Hyram (Roberta) Loftin, Jr of Memphis, Tennessee; her grandchildren Bobby Massa, Lori Kalahar, Josh Allison and Shelly Herrera; five great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, September 1st at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 31st, 2011 at the funeral home. (10200 Highway 5 North, Alexander, AR 72002 (501)455-1067)
