James Allen Mueller, age 58, of Chilton, died on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at his home. He was born October 6, 1953 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Robert O. & Mary L. (Hintze) Mueller. James served in the United States Army where he also played in the Army Band. He worked for over 30 years for Federal-Mogul in Manitowoc and was crazy about the Green Bay Packers and the Milwaukee Brewers. He also proudly served as the Fantasy Football Commissioner for the league at work. Jim could be classified as a 'Character' who always enjoyed a good time and never said NO to a party invitation. He enjoyed playing Sheepshead, Cribbage with his children, and was known to participate in UNO marathons when his children would play with their grandma and grandpa. Jim had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand when, where, and how it was needed. He somehow found the best in all those he met, and never remained angry at anyone or anything for very long. Above all else, James loved his grandchildren and treasured the time they would share swimming in his pool in the backyard. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his partner in life: Sue Hoffman; his children: Dylan (Michelle) Mueller of Manitowoc, Beth Mueller of Manitowoc, Jennifer Mueller of Manitowoc; step daughters: Lyndsey Garcia & Jessica Bursinger; 10 grandchildren: Haileigh, Kendra, Brogan, Autumn, Lily, Michael, Olivia, Jaelyn, Sebio, Lola; and 3 sisters: Karen (Ted) Bowen, Elizabeth Klem, & Chris (Bruce) Jovaag. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2011 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM on Friday, December 23, 2011.
