James B. Tucker of Hulett, WY passed away following a brief illness November 28, 2010 in Sundance, WY. James was born in Ardmore, OK on April 22, 1939 to Vic and Robbie Lee Tucker. He spent his early years growing up on his grandfather's ranch in Oklahoma and later returned there to learn the cattle and oil business. He was a graduate of NMMI and attended Fort Lewis College and Colorado State University. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked as a resident engineer for several major construction companies both in the U.S. and abroad. He married his wife, Laurie, on May 28, 1994 in Drake, CO and they lived in Fort Collins and Cheyenne, WY, before retiring to Hulett, WY. He had a life long love for knowledge and truly was a student of history, religion, politics, and intensely studied law for the past 25 years. He enjoyed being a grandpa and the simple sounds of his grandchildren's laughter always brought a smile to his face and warmed his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Robert Tucker. He is survived by his wife, Laurie of Hulett, WY; a son, Adam, step-daughter Jennell Webster and her husband Michael of Cheyenne, WY; granddaughters, Lauren and Kailey Acklin of Cheyenne, WY, Sydney Webster and grandson Michael Webster of Fairview, MT; his sister, Yvonne Mount of San Antonio, TX; several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Thursday, followed by Funeral Service 11 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment Resthaven Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Resthaven Funeral Home, 8426 S Hwy 287, Fort Collins, CO 80525.
