JAMES DEAN BEATTY (JIM) passed away October 14th at the age of 81 at his home in Greeley. The cause of death was Alzheimer Disease. Jim was born in LaJunta, Colorado on September 3, 1929 to Jason Leroy Beatty and Clara Mabel (Kenner) Beatty. Jim was the oldest of three boys. His law career began January 1, 1960 in Fort Collins when he joined the Fischer & Beatty Law Firm and continued in 1975 when he started his solo practice, James D. Beatty, PC; retiring in 1995.
