“Butch” James Thomas Johnson, age 63, of Murfreesboro, passed away on May 5, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native of Nashville and lived in Murfreesboro for the past 10 years. James was a member of Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club, Mid-South Chevelle Club, A.C.E.S., Heart of Dixie Chevelle Club, Peach State Chevelle Club and North Florida Chevelle Club.

Butch is survived by his wife of 35 ½ years, Sandra Johnson of Murfreesboro; son, Jesse William Johnson of Murfreesboro; daughter, Leslee Marie Johnson of Murfreesboro and two grandchildren, Caleb and Devin Johnson; two brothers, Bobby (Sandra) Johnson and David (Pam) Johnson; three sisters, Betty, Brenda and Linda Johnson. Butch was preceded in death by his parents, James William and Margaret Reese Johnson; and sister, Patsy Johnson.

Memorial service for Butch will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel. Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Jennings & Ayers Funeral Home; 820 South Church St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130. 615-893-2422 www.jenningsandayers.com
