James C. Parrish, a long time Albuquerque resident passed away at home on Saturday, December 17, 2011. He was born in Bennington, Oklahoma on April 4, 1926 and grew up in Bokchito, Oklahoma. In 1944 he entered the U.S. Navy, serving in the Pacific during World War II. In 1955 he moved from Oklahoma to New Mexico and began a career as a mathematician at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, NM. In 1972 he was transferred to Kirtland Air Force Base where he worked until retiring in 1989. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maxine; sons, David M. Parrish and wife, Karen, Steven L. Parrish and wife, Joellen (Jody); grandchildren, Carol, Michael, David and Jeff; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd, on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
