James A. Caldwell, 60, of 10687 10th Road, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at 11:26 p.m., at his home. Jim was born on August 3, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, to Robert and Phyllis (Luse) Caldwell. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Loretta Hummel and James Caldwell were united in marriage on May 27, 1972, at the Calvary Lutheran Church, in Plymouth. Jim loved his job at Bomarko where he was the quality coordinator. When Jim went home, from work, he was happily met, at the door, by his two furry friends Bax and Bud. He loved to sit and watch the wild life in his backyard and he also enjoyed bowling. James is survived by wife, Loretta Caldwell; his mother and father, Phyllis and Donald Bowser of Plymouth; his sister, Deb (Rusty) White of Plymouth; his brothers, David (Diana) Caldwell of Plymouth and Jeff Caldwell of Fresno, California; his sister-in-law, Susie (Jim) Ross of Plymouth; his brothers-in-law, Bob Hummel of Saint James, Missouri, and Ray(Grace Stewart) Hummel of Plymouth; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, also survive. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Robert L. Caldwell and Frank Hutton; and his sister-in-law, Connie Hummel.
