James E. Wright was born June 18, 1941 in Turner, Texas to Thomas W. Wright, Sr. and Cleola Wright. James accepted Christ and became a member of Eastside Church of Christ. He graduated from Old Anderson High School. He attended Texas Southern University, joined the Marines and later worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Austin where he retired. James married Robbie L. Haynes who was very devoted to him and he loved her very much. They both brought two children to this union. James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tommye Briggs. He is survived by his loving wife, Robbie L. Wright; his children, Keith Wright (Tiffany) of Houston, Texas, Mark Wright (Julia) of Austin, Texas, Carl Haynes of New Hampshire, and Carmen Harris (Michael) of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; his brother Thomas Wright, Jr. of Austin, Texas; three sisters, Mae D. Stevens of Oakland, California, Jerri Hardin (Virgil) of Austin, Texas, and Lillian Harris of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
