James E. Yerrick , 67, went to Heaven, surrounded by his family, Thursday, November 17, 2011. Born in Fort Wayne and a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Jim was a professional truck driver with ATL-ANR Freight for 30 years. He was a lifetime member of the St. Joe Athletic Club and a proud Teamster. Jim was an avid golfer and NASCAR fan, had completed a marathon and had 2 hole- in- ones, enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting hats. He loved his family and was a friend to all. Surviving are his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Carole Yerrick of Fort Wayne, children, Christella (Dan) Crickard of Warren, James P. (Carla) Yerrick, Laura (Mark) Guitard and Damian Yerrick all of Fort Wayne, sister, Judy (Bob) Bennett of Kendallville, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Helen Yerrick and brother Jeff Yerrick. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
