James E. "Jim" Jones, 88, of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and beloved husband of Helen for 65 years, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012. Jim was born in Detroit on November 12, 1924 to the late Ray and Marjorie Jones. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Business, majoring in Accounting in 1948. Prior to graduation he served proudly in the United States Army Air Corps before returning to school to finish his degree. He furthered his education at the Chrysler Institute of engineers graduating in 1953. Following graduation he worked for American Natural Gas as an accountant, from which he would later retire in 1983 after 30 years of service. In his free time he enjoyed camping and traveling across the country with his family. They managed to make it to all of the lower 48 states with their trailer. When he wasn't traveling, James enjoyed being active at the Beverly Hills United Methodist Church in Beverly Hills, Michigan, where he and his wife have been members since 1965. Beloved husband of Helen for 65 years. Dear father of Bob and Linda Brundige (Ray). Loving grandfather of Mitchell Hewitt and Ryan Jones. Memorial service Friday 11:00a.m. at Beverly Hills United Methodist Church, 20000 W. Thirteen Mile Rd., Beverly Hills, MI 48025. Inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial tributes to the church.
