CUYAHOGA FALLS – James Edward Markwalder, 66, passed away July 13, 2012. He was a life resident of Cuyahoga Falls graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1964. He worked as an accountant for Firestone Tire and later for Brinks, was a member of Faith Fellowship Baptist Church and had served with the U. S. Navy. He was past master of Star Lodge 187 F&AM and was a long time coordinator for the Falls Memorial Day Parade.

Preceded in death by his mother and father, Grace and George Markwalder, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Aaron Lee and Amanda; grandchildren, Jacoby Lee and Charley Rose; Aaron's mother, Jamie Miller; brother and sister-in-law, John Charles and Cathy Markwalder; sister and brother-in-law, Judy Louise and David Stump of Bromley, England; cousin, Ellis T. Mills and other extended family.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, July 16 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where Star Lodge 187 F&AM will conduct Masonic Rites at 6:30 pm Monday, July16. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 17 at the Funeral Home, Rev. Jill Smith officiating and friends may call for one hour prior to service time. Cremation will follow and final resting place will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Baptist Church, 4872 Darrow Rd., Stow, OH 44224. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
