James Ellis Sugg, 70, of Springdale, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born November 24, 1942 in West Point, Mississippi to Harry C and Mary Riley Sugg.

James was a retired Food Inspector for the U.S.D.A. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Shriner. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He enjoyed woodworking, mission work and beekeeping.

He is survived by his wife Patsy Sugg of the home; one son, James Ellis Sugg, Jr. and wife Julie of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Melissa Bradley and husband Jon of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one brother, Harry Sugg of Pensacola, Florida; one sister, Joan Cash of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Riley Sugg and T.J. Bradley.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville at the corner of Dickson Street and College Avenue. Dr. Douglas Faulkner will officiate. A visitation will precede the funeral from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Graveside services will be at the New Hope Cemetery near Amory, Mississippi on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:00 a.m. under the direction of E.E. Pickle Funeral Home.
