James Guthrie Burr Snyder, Jr., 45, of Rucker Avenue, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home. A native of Fort Sill, OK, he was the son of Kay Frances Boring Snyder, Georgetown and the late James Guthrie Burr Snyder, Sr., who passed away May 2012. James serviced his country in the US Army for nine years spending time in Iraq, Korea, Germany, Columbia, Panama and Nicaragua. He was also very involved in the Democratic Party and was an active participant in the local and state election for President Barack Obama. James was a member of KFTC (Kentucky for the Commonwealth) and attended The Church of the Holy Trinity (Episcopal). Survivors besides his mother include one brother, Clifton Bartholomew (Mary Jane) Snyder; two sons, James Kayle Snyder and Hayden Ross Snuder; two nieces, Amanda and Samantha Cornett; two great nieces, Sierra Leigh Roman and Lilah Ann Tipton. Services are pending at Johnson's Funeral Home.
