James H. Lynch, 85, died peacefully on Thursday February 3, 2011, surrounded by love. Born in New York, he was a life long resident of Bloomfield. Jim was Assistant Postmaster of Bloomfield, who retired after 43 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Bloomfield Safety Council and V.F.W. Post 7-11 Miles Suarez and was honored as Irishman of the Year and was Vice President of the Nice Peoples Club. He was a Veteran of the Air Corp in WWII. He was the dearly beloved husband of Eleanor (Gorgeous) Godleski Lynch for almost 60 years, loving father of Diane Parise of Barnegat, Janet Estelle and her husband Bob of Barnegat, Debbie Podvey and her husband Bob of West Caldwell, James H. Lynch of Bloomfield, Jerry and his wife Dee of Barnegat, Philip and his wife Sue of Bloomindale, and Joan Hilman and her husband Tim of Caldwell. He was the brother of Arthur of Florida and the late Raymond and Robert, devoted grandfather of Anthony, Kim, Lindsay, Leslie, Heather , Sarah, John, Joe, Jamie Rose, Jimmy, Melia, Austin, and dear great grandfather of Alex, Connor and Abigail.
