THOMAS & WALTER QUINN FUNERAL HOME
Hill, James F., 75, of Summerfield, FL, formerly of Warwick, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at the Villages Memorial Hospital in Florida. He was the husband of the late Lucille J. (Gallante) Hill. Born in Providence, a son of the late George and Laura (Beaudet) Hill, he resided in Warwick for 32 years before moving to Florida in 2000. Mr. Hill was a school administrator in the Cranston School Dept. He started his career as a student teacher at Hugh B. Bain Middle School where he stayed until his retirement as principal in 1992. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and was a very active member of the William Shields American Legion Post #43 in Warwick. He was the father of Brad Hill of Las Vegas, NV; brother of Eve Marilyn Chousse of Summerfield, FL, and nephew of George Beaudet of Englewood, FL.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9 AM from the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Benedict Church, Beach Ave. Burial with military honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
