James J. Hagen, Sr. Formerly of Folcroft passed away peacefully on April 5, 2012 at his home in Aston at the age of 92. Mr. Hagen was born in Philadelphia, PA and pre-deceased by his parents Mary and Raymond Hagen; his wife Dorothy (nee Kraft); his daughter Patricia Morris; and eight brothers and sisters. Mr. Hagen was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School and worked for 39 years at the Railway Express Agency in Philadelphia. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the USS Mellena, a troop and supply shipin the Pacific. He was an avid sports fan and an encyclopedia on his beloved Philadelphia Athletics. Mr Hagen was a coach and Athletic Director for Glenolden Boys Club from the 1950's to the 1960's. Devoted father of Dorothy Wallace, James Hagen, Jr., Kathy Hurst, Anthony Sirianni, Deborah Knight, Rita Sirianni, Patty Magnin, Kelly Mease and Steven Hagen; also survived by his longtime companion Patricia Widdowson; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invivted to attend his viewing on Monday after 9am in the Church of St. George, Glenolden followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
