Warnick James (Jim) Sherwin, 89, passed away June 9, 2012. He was born September 7, 1922 in Guilford, MO. to Charles Stephen and Laura Powell Warnick. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a primary Flight Instructor, where he trained others to become pilots. He graduated from SMU with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He was a Past Master of Oak Cliff Lodge No. 705, Past Patron of Midlothian Chapter # 211 R.A.M., Hella Shrine and Scottish Rite. Survivors are his wife Ruth Warnick; his daughter Karen Wilt; grandchildren Kristen and husband Brandon Honore and Lauren Stovall; 4 great grandchildren; sister in law Alyce Krupa. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday June 13, 2012, Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.
