James "Jimmy" T. Grier, Jr., age 88, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011. He is survived by his children, Sheila M. Villegas, James D. Grier, Mary L. Davis (Kent), and Rodney T. Grier, all of Albuquerque; family friend, Terry; siblings, Mary Pat Byrd, Helen G. White, Cecelia G. Vikdal, Michael T. Grier, and Sharon L. Georgi-Ardourel; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Grier was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy K. Grier, his sons, baby Michael and John Paul Grier, daughter, Cindy M. Wallace, brother, John Charles Grier, and sisters, Janie G. Hornbaker and Marjorie C. Pearce. Jimmy retired after 31 years with Sandia Labs. He served our country with the US Army during WWII and was wounded in France and learned to drink black coffee. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, 9:00 a.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French - Wyoming Chapel Thursday, November 17, 2011 from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
