Funeral services for James Kirk Leatherwood, 55, of Caldwell are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the New Tabor Pavillion, with Rev. Rick Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at New Tabor Cemetery under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2011. Mr. Leatherwood passed away at his home on April 15, 2011. James was born April 8, 1956, to James Owen Leatherwood and Teddy Hunt in Terrell, Texas. He married Millie Murray on July 7, 1979, also in Terrell. James is survived by his wife Millie, son and daughter-in-law; Jeffrey and Stephanie Leatherwood of College Station, daughter and son-in-law; Tessa and Randy Supak of Caldwell, brothers; Keith Purkey and Kyle Leatherwood, both of Terrell, Texas, two grandchildren; Preston and Tatum Supak.
