TRAWEEK, JAMES LEE, 65, Orlando, FL died peacefully in his home Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011. Born May 26, 1946 in Long Beach, CA, he was preceded in death by parents, Christina and Ernest; and brother, Wayne. He was a 1964 graduate of Boone High School, Orlando and upon graduation, joined the Navy for two tours in Vietnam on the USS Constellation [CVA-64], USS Ranger and the USS Kitty Hawk. Jim was the owner and operator of Specialty Millwork, then Master Woodworking for more than 25 years and recently retired from Thomas Lumber Company. A lifelong resident of Orlando, Jim was an avid fisherman, boater, and gardener. He loved to grill and was an ardent FSU Seminole fan. He loved his family and extended family and especially enjoyed the many activities of his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Nicole and her husband, Javier Molina; grandsons, Austin, Alex, and Jordan; granddaughter, Madison of Orlando; sister, Mary and her husband, Harry Martin of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Dec. 18, 2011 at 3 pm at Ivanhoe Chapel, Orlando. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim Traweek's name to the YMCA Camp Wewa Scholarship Fund, 221 S. Binion St., Apopka, FL 32703. Jim sent his daughter to Camp Wewa for 10 years and made sure his grandchildren, also attended every summer thereby providing them all with cherished memories of wonderful adventures made possible by a kind and loving man. Memories of Jim will be treasured by his family and many friends and he will be remembered by all for his giving and generous nature.
