James Leonard Kinkle, Sr.,
68, of Oxnard, passed away Feb.
10, 2011 at St. Johns Hospital.
James was born May 9, 1942 in
Memphis, Tenn., and he has
been a Ventura County resident
for 35 years. He served 30 years
in the military which included
the Army and the Navy and one
tour of duty in Vietnam. He retired
March 31, 2008 as a civil
service tool room mechanic. He
was a member of the Knights of
Columbus.
He is survived by his wife,
Gayle M. Kinkle; daughter, Jana
L. Kinkle (Memphis, Tenn.);
sons, Richard D. Ruark (Denton,
Texas), Donald E. Ruark (Bountiful,
Utah), James L. Kinkle, Jr.
(Oxnard), and Robert W.B. Kinkle
(Oxnard); Sister, Patricia A. Kinkle-Jackson
of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and
brother,Joseph L. Kinkle of Memphis,
Tennessee, three
granddaughters
and two grandsons.
Visitation will be held from 4
to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16,
with Vigil at 6:30 p.m., at Santa
Clara Mortuary, 2370 North H
Street, Oxnard. Mass of Christian
Burial will be held at 10
a.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, at Santa
Clara Church, 323 South E
Street, Oxnard. Services will
conclude at the church. Interment
is private.
Following the Mass, there
will be a reception at the
Knights of Columbus at 1600
South D Street, Oxnard, CA 93030
