James M. Shatto, 76, of Dillsburg, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at the Community General Hospital, Harrisburg. He was born October 30, 1933, in Enola, the son of the late John and Catherine (Kreitzer) Shatto. Mr. Shatto was a retired machinist with American National Can and worked after retirement at Walmart. He served his country in the U.S. Air force and was a member of the South Mountain V.F.W. Post #6771, Dillsburg and the Dillsburg American Legion Post #26. James was also a former member of the Mechanicsburg Club. James is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Virginia (Grimm) Shatto; one son, Timothy J. Shatto of Dillsburg; two brothers, John of West Fairview and Edward of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Anna Mae Graff of Holly Ridge, NC; and one granddaughter, Devon Shatto. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009, at 11:00 am in the Monaghan Presbyterian Church, 1185 Gettysburg Pike, Dillsburg, PA with the Rev. Charles W. Best officiating.
