James R. Conrad, Sr., 77, of Weirton, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 in the Life Line Hospital in Wintersville, OH. Born April 22, 1934 in Weirton, he was a son of the late John and Edna Davis Conrad. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Conrad and sisters Katherine Bee and Stacy Fraley. With 36 years of service, Jim retired from Weirton Steel where he worked as a welder. He was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club. Known for his heart of gold, Jim enjoyed listening to loved country music. But, most of all, Jim cherished the times spent with his family in Deep Creek, MD. Mr. Conrad is survived by his sons James R. “Jamie” Conrad, Jr. and his wife Robin of Dixon, CA, John R. Conrad and his wife Denise of Lincoln, DE and Jay P. Conrad and his wife Paula of Bridgeport, OH; daughter Joyce Rusinovich and her husband Larry of Weirton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated 11AM Thursday. The Pastor Darrell Maze will officiate. Interment will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
