James R. Meehan, 46, of Mt. Bethel, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Pocono Medical Center, E. Stroudsburg, PA. Born on March 10, 1965 in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of Jeffrey Meehan of Kunkletown, PA and Grace Cameron Meehan of Delaware, NJ. Jim was a truck service advisor for Travel Center of America, Delaware, NJ. Previously he worked for Makarevich Farms, Columbia, NJ for many years. Jim, in addition to enjoying farming, was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed dirt track racing. His favorite past times were puzzle books and model car building. A brother, Morrison had died earlier. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife of 23 years, Barbara A. McCarthy Meehan; two daughters, Lauren and Lindsay; a brother, Jeff of Mt. Bethel, PA; two sisters, Linda Meehan of Phillipsburg, NJ and Jane Davis of Allamuchy, NJ; many nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to the Bank of America, 29 South Main Street, Bangor, PA 18013 for the purpose of a college fund for his daughters.
