James W. Rabak 92, of Lubbock died Friday, August 27, 2010. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Cathedral with Msgr. Ben Kasteel officiating. Rosary will be held on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Sanders Funeral Home. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

James Rabak was born August 29, 1917 in Fairmount, North Dakota to his parents John and Jeanne Rabak. He attended public schools in Fairmount and attended Business College in Fargo, North Dakota. On September 2, 1942, he married his wonderful wife Rita L. McCabe of Larimore, North Dakota.

He was an accountant at Bardwell-Robinson of Fargo until moving to Amarillo in 1950, at which time he was employed by Maywood Inc. until retiring in 1984. He moved to Lubbock in 1986 and was a member of Christ the King Cathedral.

His wife of 61 years, Rita, preceded him in death on June 23, 2003. He is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Christensen of Lubbock and Andrea Wear of Las Vegas, Nevada; and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice or Christ the King Cathedral School.
