JAMES ROBERT "SKEETER" MORRIS, age 55, of Midland, Virginia died following a four wheeler accident Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, Virginia.

Skeeter was born October 15, 1954 in Leesburg, Virginia, son of the late Bennie B.Byrne and Minnie V. Morris. He was an avid drag racer, loved classic cars and a member of the Southern Outlaw Top Sportsman Racing Club. He was very much devoted to his three granddaughters. He was a loving husband, father, brother, brother-in-law and friend.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Morris.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Diana L. Morris; one daughter, Jennifer Quinlan and husband Christopher of Manassas, Virginia; six siblings, Hazel V. Kidwell of Front Royal, Virginia, Donna R. Edmonds of Maryland, Kathy A. Robey of Waynesboro, Virginia, Pam Kiser of Manassas, Virginia, Debbie Hatfield of Front Royal, Virginia and Bonnie K. Wright of Shipensburg, Pennsylvania and three grandchildren, Natalie Marie Quinlan, Kara Noel Quinlan and Alexis Kate Quinlan.

The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 P.M. Monday, April 26, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 with Pastor K.G. Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
