James Thomas Parker, the son of Dorance C. and Patricia (Lombard) Parker was born January 29, 1957 in Omaha, Nebraska. He passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Bergan Mercy Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 9 days. While growing up, James and the family lived in Omaha, Red Oak, Stanton and California. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. After his discharge James lived in California. In 1994, after the death of his first wife, James returned to Red Oak. James was later united in marriage to Pamela Mertz on August 5, 1994 in Red Oak, Iowa. He had worked for ROMECH, Eaton, Red Oak Die Cast and NSK. James enjoyed fishing, playing games on the Wii, and he was a huge Nebraska Cornhusker fan. James was preceded in death by his parents. James is survived by his wife Pamela Parker of Red Oak, IA; two sons: Shawn Parker and wife Chris of Stanton, IA and Andrew Parker of Red Oak, IA; two daughters: Brittany Parker of Red Oak, IA and Barbara Lombard and companion Brad VanHouten of Red Oak, IA; four grandchildren: Garrett Resh, Mariah Lombard, Alyssa Resh and Madilynn Parker; other relatives and friends. James was cremated and services will held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church 2300 N. 8th St. Red Oak, Iowa Memorials may be directed to the family. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
