James Truman Coffman, age 82, a resident of Russellville, died Sunday, January 26, 2003, at the Arkansas Children's Hospital Burn Unit in Little Rock. He was born November 29, 1920, in Yell County, to the late Jim and Myrtle Augusta Douglas Coffman. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union; was in the C. C. C.; and was in the construction business for over 40 years. He was also a member of the Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church in Russellville where he served as Deacon for 35 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Selma Lucille Coffman of Russellville; a daughter, Myra Jean Johnson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 brothers, Elbert Condley, A. J. Coffman, and Lewis Coffman; 7 sisters, Chloe Williams, Stella Harvell, Loreda Compas, Iva Fortner, Helen Blankenship, Clarene McCoy, and Shirley Johnson; 2 grandchildren, Kayla B. Jennen and Paula J. McDonald; 5 great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2003, at Woodlawn Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Mike Phillips and Rev. A. E. "Bo" Coffman. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Keaster, Willaim Campbell, Marc Taylor, Tommy McGuire, Kenneth Cook, and Keith Bowden. Honorary pallbearers will be Elbert Hinchcliff, Grady Hunnicutt, Verlin Taylor, Dalton Johnson, Eric Hartzell, and Rick Cossey.

Visitation will be 6 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at the funeral home.
