James W. Howell, Jr, age 66, of Canton, passed away, with family and friends by his side, on Saturday, July 23, 2011. He was born in Canton, on February 16, 1945 to the late James Sr. and Erma Howell. He was a 1963 graduate of Lincoln High School and enjoyed traveling. Jim was employed with Babcock & Wilcox, Gradall and JLG Industries. The most important thing in Jim's life was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Cowling and his nephew, Dale Dively. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kris Howell; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Christy Howell; two granddaughters, Olivia and Alexia; and many other friends and relatives. The family would like to thank everyone who prayed and gave their support. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1pm in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW, with the Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be Monday from 6-8pm in the funeral home.
