James Wesley Thomason
February 16, 1946 – July 5, 2011

James Wesley Thomason was born February 16, 1946 to the late Lewis Swanton, Sr. and Addie Irene Goare Thomason of Columbus, Georgia. He departed this life on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Huntsville Hospital. He confessed hope in Christ on March 29, 1959 at Beallwood Church. In 2006, he became a member of First SDA Church where he sang in the Choir. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in Business Management, and he served in the United States Navy during part of the Vietnam War from 1965- 1969. Jim, as he was known by his family and friends, will truly be missed.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Nancy McCrary Thomason of Huntsville, Al; one sister Marsha Blocker and her husband Richard of Madison, AL; one brother, Lewis Swanton Thomason, Jr. and his wife Glenda of Phenix City, AL; a special niece, Kandance Plinski and her husband Larry of Phenix City, AL; one uncle, William Goare and his wife Mary of Columbus, GA and a host of other relatives and friends
