Obituary

Jamie B. Cantwell, a resident of Shrewsbury for 22 of his young 24 years, died at his residence in Portland, Maine on July 31, 2015.

Born on January 14, 1991 to Kevin & Barbara (Harrington) Cantwell, Jamie was the youngest of four children. In his short time here on earth, Jamie enjoyed many sports. A graduate of Shrewsbury High School Class of 2009, Jamie was very athletic playing basketball, lacrosse and football but his real joy was when he was on the slopes skiing. Jamie enjoyed the challenges of skiing and loved the adventure and peace it brought him. Traveling to Colorado and Switzerland with family and friends were trips of a lifetime. When not on the slopes, Jamie could be found in the weight room working out and keeping fit.

Jamie would do anything for his friends and when asked in return, his typical response was "All set – I'm good!" He helped many others making an impact on their lives. Jamie was incredibly passionate and loyal. His affectionate smile could light up a room and his great sense of humor produced his unforgettable laugh. Jamie had an amazing mind for numbers and was working for Auto-Europe in Marketing in Portland Maine where he had been living. Being in Maine allowed him to be close to another one of his favorite places, Sunday River.

Jamie was predeceased by his grandparents, Paul & Maureen (Bolton) Cantwell and Joan K. Harrington.

He is survived by his parents, Kevin Cantwell of Northborough, Barbara (Harrington) Cantwell and her partner Michael Gentile of Worcester; siblings Christina Esposito of Northborough; Joshua Firestone and his wife Melissa of Silverthorne, CO and Victoria Lunneborg of Castle Rock, CO; his grandfather Gilbert Harrington of Worcester; Uncles Michael Harrington of Dillon, MT; Denny Cantwell of Traverse City Michigan, Tim Cantwell of Sheboygan, WI and Tom Cantwell of Waunakee, WI and aunts Patricia SanFilippo of Gibsonia, PA and Mary Walczak of Loda, IL; three nieces Gianna Esposito, Ellie and Kate Lunneborg and many friends.
