EMERY - Jamie Lynn Emery, 32, passed away suddenly from a viral flu infection on Sunday, September 20th in Surprise, Arizona. Jamie graduated from Eldorado High School in 1996. She was a receptionist for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta until she left for Phoenix in 2000. She became an Escrow Officer and lived in Peoria, Arizona. Born July 26, 1978, she was the youngest of four daughters. Her parents are Jan Emery Laursen and Bill Laursen of Albuquerque and Steve and Stacey Emery of The Woodlands, Texas. She is survived by her parents; sister; Michelle Trainor, and fiance', Cary Tevis, nieces Brittany Trainor and Kaley Whitzel of Artesia, NM; sister Annette and husband Mike Dosch, and nephews Colter and Dalton of Spring, Texas; and sister Jennifer Eaton and nephew Preston Jordan of Phoenix, younger brother Cory, of The Woodlands, TX, step-brothers; Billy, Gordy and Eric Laursen of Albuquerque and step-sister Jaonne Laursen of Albuquerque. Jamie has many aunts, uncles and cousins whom she loved with all her heart. She is further survived by her special friends, Steve Essington of Albuquerque, Sabrina Smith of Albuquerque, and by her two cats, Barkley and Cleopatra (Cleo). She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Doris Sabo, uncle Jerry and cousin Danny, paternal grandparents; Lewis and Shirley Emery, of Nebraska, and Bill and Ima Gean Smith of Albuquerque. Jamie loved jet skiing, snow skiing and shopping. If Jamie was your friend, she was a friend forever! Special thanks to LaWanda and Billy Smith, Valerie White and Debra Rice. A Celebration of Life for Jamie will be held at Faith Lutheran Church 10000 Spain NE, at 11:00 am Tuesday, September 28th. Cremation will follow. Friends may call on the family at a visitation to be held at French Funerals & Cremations, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, on Monday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.. God speed, our baby girl!
