Jane A. Domine Sirotnak, 67, a lifetime resident of Brainards, NJ, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, March 24, 2011. Born December 10, 1943 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Constance DiFede Domine. Jane was a 1962 graduate of Belvidere High School and a 1966 graduate of Castleton State College in Vermont, where she received a degree in Education. Jane started her career as a 4th grade teacher at Mansfield Elementary School. She took a break from teaching to raise her children, returning to education as a teacher’s aide at Harmony Township School. Most recently, she was employed by Wal-Mart in Pohatcong. Additionally, Jane worked for the Warren County Election Board. Since her retirement, she had been enjoying time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, and her pets. Jane was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was organizing a blood drive or raising funds for her favorite charities. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, and classic movies, but cooking and baking were her passions. Those who knew her most likely were the recipients of her homemade treats that were always made with love. She is survived by two daughters, Jodi Sirotnak of Arlington, VA, and Tanya Lockard and her husband Keith, of Harmony; her grandchildren Kinsey and Ty; her sister Loretta Domine of Brainards; her brother-in-law, Duane Sweet of White Township; and her beloved cats. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Flora Sweet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lopatcong Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 248 Phillpsburg, NJ 08865 or The Seeing Eye, P.O. Box 375 Morristown, NJ 07963. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Jane Sirotnak.
