Mrs. Janet S. Gibbs

Gibbs, Janet, 66, passed away Saturday January 28, 2012. Janet was born March 10, 1945 in Ellsworth, Kansas, graduated from Lincoln High School and from Wichita Business College. During her working years she was employed by Peirce Bookkeeping Service, Via Christi St. Francis and Wichita Anesthesia Chartered. She was a member of the Harmony Chapter # 19, Order of the Eastern Star, Salina, Kansas Chapter, AERIE Woman's Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Christian Church of Lincoln. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Esther Gibbs and sister, Peggy Gibbs Kennedy. She is survived by sisters, Marianna Lewis, Cheryl McGee and Carolyn Hill, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and surrounded by a host of friends. A Memorial service will be held in the loving memory of Janet, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, 10:00am at Lakeview Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, or New Hope Christian Church food bank.
