Janice Montjoy
Greenville, SC

Janice (Jan) Kay Jones Montjoy passed away peacefully at her home on February 5, 2012 after a valiant struggle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Jan was the daughter of Irvin and Ruth Jones. Before her retirement to Greenville, she was a long-term employee of Watts Mill in Laurens. Until her illness, she faithfully served her church, Overbrook Baptist.

She was predeceased by her husband, Randall Montjoy, a son, Mark Randall Montjoy and a brother, Jack Sumeral.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. C. Scott and Rachel Montjoy; two beloved granddaughters, Amanda Kay Montjoy and Arden Lee Montjoy; grandsons, Daniel Robert Guthrie and Samuel Addis Guthrie, all of Greenville; friends and family; and her long-time pet cat, Jasmine.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, with the Rev. Dale Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Laurens, SC.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Overbrook Baptist Church Mission Fund, the Greenville Humane Society, or the charity of one's choice.
