Jason Lee Murphy, age 37, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly of Atlanta, Indiana died March 5, 2013 at Nathan Adelson Hospice at Las Vegas. He was born December 7, 1975 at Tipton, IN to David Allan and Collis Jean (Langolf) Murphy of Atlanta, IN.
He was a graduate of Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1995. He then earned a BS degree in broadcasting and journalism from Franklin College. Jason loved interacting with others and participated in high school choir, speech club and plays. He also participated in college plays. He was involved in several political campaigns. Jason was a sports fan and attended UNLV sporting events, becoming active with the booster club. He enjoyed listening to country western music.
He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church at Arcadia, IN.
Survivors include his parents, a sister: Jennifer DiPrisco of Houston Texas, two brothers: Christopher Murphy of Fishers, IN and Stephen Murphy of Lafayette, IN, a niece and nephew, two step nieces and two step nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel with Pastor Robb Roloff officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the memorial service begins at noon. Final resting place will occur at a later date at Arcadia Cemetery.
