Mr. Jean Elmer Stamm

Jean Elmer Stamm, 91, of Gladstone, Missouri died December 16, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO. Jean was born in St. Louis, MO on October 13, 1920 to Maudie and Elmer Stamm. Jean served his country proudly in the US Army Air Corp during WWII. Prior to the war ending he had just completed his navigation schooling to become a member of an aviation bomber crew. After 42 years of employment Jean retired from AT&T as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. Jean and Mary Ann Johnson were married 57 years until her death in 2003. They had three children, Susan Eveland (Bruce), Sherry Minzey ( Jim), and Jeffery Stamm (Amy); 6 grandchildren, Andrea Cravens (Theron), Aaron Ambrose (Kathy), Melissa and Michael Minzey, Michaela and Brianna Stamm; 3 great- grandchildren, Emily, Will, and Carson; his sister, June Ellen Bruce of High Ridge.
For over three years Jean has resided at the Missouri Veterans Home in Warrensburg where he has received excellent care that was administered with love. We want to thank everyone on the staff at the Veterans Home for taking such wonderful care of our Dad. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please send a donation to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1300 Veterans Road, Warrensburg, MO 64093. This will help continue the wonderful care given to our veterans.
Services are set for 12 PM Tuesday December 20, 2011 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11-12 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: White Chapel Cemetery.
