Jean J. Valderrama, 90, died September 12, 2011 at his residence in Stuart.

Born in Barcelona, Spain he has resided in Stuart since 1997, coming from Venice, FL, where he had lived for 45 years.

Prior to retirement he was a mechanic for the City of Sarasota, FL.

He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.

He was a U. S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II and received the American Area Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.

Survivors include his sons, Jay Valderrama and James Valdrrama, both of Stuart; daughter, Jacqueline Cronin of Hollywood, FL; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services: Memorial Services will be held at 1 PM, September 18, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes -Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart Chapel with Rev. David Francoeur officiating. Inurnment will be at South Florida VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth at a later date with military honors provided by the U. S. Coast Guard. .
