Jean Marie Webb, 83, of Marquette, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, August 8, 2011 at her residence. Jean was born on September 30, 1927 in Davison, Michigan, a daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel (Austin) Maschino. She was a 1945 graduate of Davison High School where she was captain and first baseman of the boys baseball team. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and was known to be a master baker of Christmas cookies. Jean is survived by her husband, Tom Webb of Marquette; 4 sons, Joe (Robin) Webb and Jeff (Dawn) Webb, both of Davison, MI, Jim (Deb) Webb of Cadillac, MI and Jon (Jenny) Webb of Marquette; 9 grandchildren, Jason Webb, Joe Webb, Heather Carpenter, Nick Pappas, Jenny Mathieu, Pat Webb, Tommy Webb, Jared Webb and Logan Webb; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn (Ted) Roberts of Auburn Hills, MI; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Pappas in 1991. A private funeral service was held at the Canale-Tonella Funeral Home with Deacon David Adler presiding. Memorials are preferred to the Lake Superior Hospice Association, 914 W. Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 49855 in Mrs. Webb's memory. Memories may be shared at www.canalefuneral.com
