Mrs Jean Rosalind Jacobs

Jean Rosalind Jacobs R.N. (ret) 81 passed away peacefully on October 28, 2011. She was born to Ulysses Roy and Catherine in Auburn, Aylesford, Canada. She studied Nursing in Montreal, Canada before coming to California. Worked for awhile in Porterville and Springfield near Visalia. She came to Stockton where she met and married Joseph T. Jacobs. Beloved mother of Mary, Joseph Jr., John and Thomas. Later, she worked at hospitals in Stockton including, San Joaquin County, St. Joseph's and Chateau where she worked until her retirement. Since retiring, she enjoyed day trips to San Francisco and working in the garden which she loved. She loved to take walks around the neighborhood, also sharing the bounty of the garden with family and friends.
Survived by her daughter Mary and sons Joseph Jr and family, John and Thomas. Sister-in laws Elsa and Josephine, brother Stanley, nieces and nephews, cousins back east and in Canada. She was preceded in death by husband Joseph, parents and brothers John and William.
A Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 6pm at De Young's Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Drive, Stockton, CA, 95219. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday November 4th at 10 am at Church of the Presentation, 1515 W. Benjamin Holt Drive Stockton, CA. 95207
There will be visitation at the Shoreline Chapel on Thursday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Committal will be at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
